Sacred Contortions

A series of 8 charcoal paintings examining human materialism. The crystals represent the material items that we, the humans behind the hands, value and hold sacred. We physically contort ourselves around and grasp at these crystals for our entire lives, only to never be satisfied — with them hovering just out of reach.
